A catalog, such as a logo or business card, is a tool used to identify and strengthen product awareness. Marketing experts know how accurate the involvement of a catalog is and how a good catalog can make a difference in sales.
Book lists are an integral part of every marketing campaign, and they are one of the most powerful marketing tools to get word out about products and services. Give your products the space they need. When designing your catalog, make sure it is big enough to showcase all your products and draws attention to your most important products or services. Consider page count, format and how it will make your customers feel. For example, if you are in a niche industry such as customization or good photography, you may want to create an austere design with a few things per page, highlighting the quality and diversity of the work.
In addition, this type of audience will probably benefit from high quality paper stock, careful consideration of image quality and color authenticity. Use Top Images
Photos of your products and services are at the heart of your catalog. Consider making images of high-value products and services larger than those of low-value products. Beautiful images will make your products more attractive and increase sales. Make sure all your photos are taken with good lighting and have enough print resolution. Product data
First, to create a catalog you need your product data. With product data, we mean: codes (SKUs / item numbers), category, subcategory, product name, description, attributes, prices, barcodes, etc.
This information can be contained in:
Business database / ERP applications: SAP, Oracle, IBM AS400, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Infor, iPromis, etc.
• One or more Excel Sheet (or CSV, TXT files)
• XML files
• SQL files
• Company website
Previous catalog files (Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, etc.)

Analyze the Results of Your Catalog Design
Take time to analyze and evaluate how your catalog has made for you. Consider the answers to the following questions:
• What was sold like crazy? Where was the catalog?
• Are there "fat" and where can they be found in the catalog?
• Has the look and feel of the catalog helped or hampered your sales?
• How soon did you start seeing sales after the release of your catalog?
• Also, be sure to ask your sales people how the catalog works, or get feedback from customers.
